James Parkhouse
Former Agiito boss James Parkhouse has been appointed as CEO of specialist travel management company DGI (Diversity Group International).
UK-based DGI, which was formerly known as Diversity Travel before rebranding last year, serves the humanitarian, academic, faith and NGO sectors.
Parkhouse succeeds DGI’s outgoing CEO Christopher Airey and takes up his new position at the TMC on Monday (30 March). Airey, who founded the TMC in 2006, is stepping down as he relocates outside of the UK but he will "remain involved in the business in the coming months in an advisory capacity and continue as an investor", according to DGI.
Parkhouse joins DGI with more than 20 years’ experience in the business travel sector.
“I am honoured to have been asked to lead DGI – the leading non-profit and academic travel experts,” said Parkhouse in a statement. “It’s a business that has deep knowledge and expertise of its clients and partners and a true market specialist – it’s a challenging time for all TMCs but we will rise to it as we always do.”
After leaving Agiito in 2023, Parkhouse later joined another UK-based TMC, Take2Eton, as CEO before stepping down from that role earlier this year.
