Serviced apartment owner and operator Clarendon has promoted Joanna Cross to the role of managing director as Scott Hamilton moves to the position of executive chairman.
Cross was previously client and guest services director at Clarendon and has 12 years’ industry experience. As MD, she will be responsible for directing the day-to-day operations, sales strategy, revenue and property management side of the business.
Meanwhile, Hamilton assumes the position of executive chairman and will primarily focus on the strategic direction of the business and future growth opportunities through investment, development and acquisition.
Cross commented: “I’m honoured to have been given the opportunity to lead such a strong team. Clarendon is firmly established as one of the leading London serviced apartment operators and has an incredibly strong reputation for the quality of product and consistent service delivery. I look forward to the challenge, building on our successes and continuing to develop the team to meet the company’s future growth goals.”
Hamilton added: “As the business goes through fundamental change, Joanna was a natural choice to lead the team and day-to-day operations of the business. Since joining Clarendon, Joanna’s energy, desire and passion to drive the business forward have been hugely effective in building a more efficient and effective operation and Clarendon team.”
