US president Donald Trump’s travel ban has suffered another setback after a US appeals court upheld a ruling blocking the move.
Judges found the executive order, which looked to ban people from travelling to the US from six mainly Muslim countries, violated existing immigration legislation.
The decision is a further setback for Trump who promised his supporters the ban would be introduced when taking office. During his election campaign, he called for a "total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States".
Attorney General Jeff Sessions said he disagreed with the ruling.
"President Trump's executive order is well within his lawful authority to keep the nation safe."
He added: "Recent attacks confirm that the threat to our nation is immediate and real."
The courts have previously blocked two of Trump’s attempted travel bans, the second of which would have prevented the entry of people from Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen for 90 days.
A study by the GBTA found European buyers expect reduction on business trips to the US if the ban is implemented.
