Travel management company (TMC) Hogg Robinson Group (HRG), has enhanced its global status with the addition of Costa Rica. Ruteas A”reas, a leading TMC for the country with international reach, has joined the HRG network and will soon be re-branded as HRG Costa Rica.
”Costa Rica, with its stable economy, strong links with Europe and easy access to both North and South America, is a key market for many of our clients as they start to consolidate their regional business travel requirements,” said HRG overseas investment director, Roger Westwood.
He continued: ”Rutas A”reas have a similar vision, like-minded client-focussed approach to delivering service excellence and are a good cultural fit with Hogg Robinson Group.”
The company currently has eight other partners in South America, located in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela.
HRG Costa Rica president Jacquiline Hernandez, was excited about the venture: ”We are now an integral part of a worldwide organisation with the ability to offer increased international support for all of our clients along with an extensive range of value-added products, services and technology solutions.”
HRG Worldwide has also introduced a global fundraising day to take place on 3 April each year. ”HRG Day” involves fundraising for major charities around the world ” this year for ActionAid, an international development agency that fights against global poverty.
Although the global total of funds is still being calculated for yesterday”s events, initial figures show that the UK team alone has gathered more than ”11,000 ($21,700).
Money raised this year will go to three specific projects: an education programme for street children in Brazil; an HIV/AIDS project in Malawi; and a community healthcare initiative in Cambodia.
