Brazil has become the latest country to ease its Covid-19 travel restrictions with vaccinated visitors no longer having to show a negative test result.
The change, which came into force on 1 April, means that fully vaccinated travellers do not have to take a Covid test 72 hours before arrival in Brazil.
Vaccinated visitors now only have to show printed or electronic proof of their full vaccination status issued within 14 days of departure. The requirement to complete a Traveller Health Declaration form (DSV) has also been removed.
Those travellers who are not classified as being fully vaccinated will still have to produce a negative test result taken one day before departure. Although the mandatory 14-day quarantine has now been lifted for unvaccinated passengers.
The relaxation in entry rules have been made by the Brazilian government following a recommendation by the country’s health body Anvisa.
