Cross-channel rail operator Eurostar saw 50,000 extra passengers between Thursday and Sunday, as people swap air for rail in a bid to get home.
The company has also added additional trains to carry passengers across the channel.
Today (April 19), at least five extra services will run - three from London to Paris, two from Paris to London, and one from Brussels to London. A further three trains may also run later this afternoon.
Eurostar has also announced it is selling one-way tickets for £89. There are 30,000 seats available between tomorrow (April 20) and Sunday (April 25).
On those days, Eurostar will run at least 28 additional trains, but warns travellers not to come to the train station without a confirmed booking.
