Cross-channel rail services between London and Brussels have been cancelled until Monday at the earliest.
The rail line has been blocked since Monday (February 15), after a head on collision between two commuter trains near Halle, southwest of Brussels.
The emergency services and the investigation team are still working at the site of the accident, and are expected to remain there over the weekend.
A Eurostar spokeswoman told ABTN: "The emergency services are still there... the investigation is ongoing.
"The next phase is taking the wreckage away, and after that the tracks and overhead lines need to be repaired.
"We are unlikely to resume services until sometime next week, but we don't know precisely when."
The accident occurred where the high speed and domestic lines meet, which means TGV, Thalys and Eurostar trains can not run services in the immediate area, along with domestic commuter trains.
Eurostar is offering alternative transport for passengers who need to travel. A regular shuttle coach service is running between Lille and Brussels Midi station.
But Eurostar has warned: "Passengers between the UK and Brussels are strongly advised to postpone or cancel their journeys." Passengers cam exchange or refund their tickets.
The London-Lille route has also been affected, operating a reduced service.
Services between London and Paris are operating normally.
