Budget carrier Vueling has relaunched its loyalty programme to offer rewards based on how much passengers spend with the airline.
The Spanish airline, which is part of IAG Group alongside Iberia and British Airways, unveiled its revamped Vueling Club at the FITUR 2026 trade show in Madrid last week.
The programme will continue to allow customers to earn and redeem Avios points, which are used across IAG’s airlines, while offering a new four-tier structure (Basic, Smart, Plus and Premium) for club members.
Vueling said “tier points” would be based on spending on its flights and services, with those in the higher tiers gaining access to increased benefits, such as priority boarding, seat upgrades, fast-track access through security, and more flexibility to change flights.
The airline added that the scheme was moving towards a model that “rewards customer value and commitment rather than just the number of flights taken”.
Last year, Vueling's sister airline British Airways was forced to backtrack on some of its planned changes to The Club loyalty scheme as it moves towards offering awards based on spending and not the distance travelled.
Vueling Club was originally launched as the airline’s loyalty scheme in 2017, with its latest iteration becoming available in the "coming weeks".
