Aviation firm Vistajet says it has seen a 50 per cent increase in membership in the Middle East, leading to a doubling of its Programme Membership hours.
The Middle East’s business aviation sector is expected to grow by 9 per cent this year, which Vistajet says its latest figures already surpass. The company has announced it has received approval to operate flights to and from Saudi Arabia, where 39 per cent of its customers are based.
Its services to Dubai from Moscow, London, Nice and Mumbai were the biggest drivers of traffic, according to Vistajet, and the firm claims 70 per cent of all private aviation flights in the Middle East are for business purposes.
Earlier this year, the company released Vistajet Direct, an app and digital membership that gives customers priority access to available one-way and empty-leg flights.
Thomas Flohr, founder and chairman of Vistajet, said: “With a growing demand for global travel in the Middle East, we foresee a continued increase in our customer base in the region. With our extension to operate in and out of Saudi Arabia, this will further enable business leaders to travel seamlessly throughout the Middle East and to the rest of the world.”
