EasyJet has announced plans to end flights from the UK’s Leeds Bradford Airport in early 2027.
The budget carrier currently flies from the Yorkshire airport to Barcelona, Paris, Belfast, Malaga and Majorca, but all services will stop from 5 January.
EasyJet said in a statement that it was terminating all operations from Leeds Bradford “following a review of our routes”.
“Our focus is on maintaining and developing routes which prove most popular with customers,” added the airline.
The carrier will continue to operate flights from Leeds Bradford to Barcelona, Belfast and Paris Charles de Gaulle until early January. Seasonal summer routes from the airport to Malaga and Majorca will end in late October as scheduled.
Leeds Bradford Airport declined to comment on easyJet’s decision to end services.
EasyJet agreed to a £5.7 billion takeover by US private equity firm Apollo Global Management earlier this month.
