The new twice-weekly service is operated using a Boeing 747-400 aircraft in a three-class configuration (Economy, Premium Economy and Upper Class).

Julie Southern, chief commercial officer, said the new route is Virgin’s first between Manchester and the west coast of America.
“Advance sales of this new route have been incredibly strong, so we're confident of success as we build up our services from Manchester,” she said.
“We already operate direct services from Manchester to Orlando and Barbados and adding Las Vegas will take the number of flights we operate from Manchester to fourteen a week.”
Virgin already operates a daily service between Gatwick and Las Vegas.
According to the airline, since June 2000 2 million passengers have flown with Virgin to Las Vegas, contributing $1 billion to the city’s tourism economy.
