Virgin Atlantic is to add frequencies on its route between London Heathrow and Bengaluru during the first quarter of 2026.
The UK-based carrier, which launched the London-Bengaluru route in March 2024, will increase flights from seven to 11 per week in January, February and March.
Virgin Atlantic said that India was currently its largest “area of growth” outside its US flights. The airline also operates double-daily flights from Heathrow to both Delhi and Mumbai, as well as a partnership with Indian budget carrier IndiGo on its domestic services within India.
Juha Jaervinen, Virgin’s chief commercial offer, added: “We’re delighted to be strengthening our Bengaluru service, reflecting strong customer demand and our continued commitment to India.
“As one of India’s most dynamic technology and business hubs, it’s fantastic to be able to offer more choice for travellers between Bengaluru and the UK, as well as greater connectivity to North America with our partners, Delta Air Lines and Westjet.”
The airline will add its extra Heathrow-Bengaluru flights on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 5 January to 28 March, using Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
