Increased business travel demand has prompted Varig to start its newest route ” London Heathrow-Sao Paulo-Rio de Janeiro from 29 October.
”The launch of London flights is another step in Varig”s expanding international route network,” said commercial director Lincoln Amano. ””The company already offers flight options between Europe and Brazil, in France, Italy and Germany.”
The initial flight will depart Heathrow Airport at 10:05pm (local time), making a stop at Sao Paulo”s Guarulhos International Airport at 8:15am, before arriving at Rio de Janeiro”s Tom Jobin Airport at 20:30.
Return services also stop at Sao Paulo at 21:30, continuing to the British capital arriving at 15:00.
The airline continues to increase its participation in the international market, even though they suffered a crisis period last June.
In addition to two daily departures to Frankfurt, increases have been implemented on the flights to Europe, with the launch of services that will connect Sao Paulo to Paris and Rome.
As well as Europe, Varig also operates international routes in South America including Bogota, Colombia: Buenos Aires, Argentina; and Caracas, Venezuela.
