Verkehrsclub Deutschland (VCD) is the new partner for the fifth Business Travel Show (BTS) in D”sseldorf - from 24 to 25 September ” where it will exclusively reveal the results of its project on good green business travel practice.
The partnership developed as a result of the VCD project - called "Environmentally-friendly Business Trips" ” which is aimed at providing small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) with a guide on how to organise and undertake greener business trips and work-related travel.
The VCD Project team is convinced that professional travel management - which takes ecological aspects into account - can contribute towards lightening the burden on both the company's budget and the environment.
Sponsored by the German Ministry of the Environment, Nature Conservation and Reactor Safety and the German Environmental Office, partners involved in the project include the German Travel Management Association, the Federal Working Party for Environmentally-aware Management, and the Association of Corporate Travel Executives.
Visitor surveys carried out at BTS in recent years have shown that the environment and corporate responsibility are becoming central topics attracting the attention of both large-scale companies and SMEs.
