The UK government has added Aruba, Bhutan, Mongolia, the Pacific Islands and Timor-Leste to the travel corridors list. At the same time, Estonia and Latvia have been removed.
The changes will come into effect at 4am on Saturday 28 November. People arriving from countries on the list do not need to self-isolate.
With the return of England to a tiered system after the end of the national lockdown on 2 December, restrictions on international travel for England residents will no longer apply. However, throughout the lockdown there has been an exemption for essential travel for work purposes.
The government recently announced that from 15 December arriving passengers could pay for a Covid test to reduce their quarantine from 14 days currently to a minimum of five days as part of the 'Test to release' scheme.
There are also moves to give short-term international business travellers an exemption from quarantine.
