Budget hotel group Travelodge has opened the first of three new hotels in the Midlands city of Birmingham.
The newly opened 210-room Birmingham Central Bull Ring Travelodge is the group’s 18th hotel in the city.
Locted at the Bull Ring shopping centre in the centre of the city, the new hotel represents a £10- million investment.
The other two Travelodges to open this year will be at Birmingham Airport and Carrs Lane, due to open in September and December respectively.
Guy Parsons, Travelodge’s CEO, said: “With over 33 million people annually visiting Birmingham for leisure and business, there is a real growing demand for good quality, low cost accommodation across the city.
“By the end of this year we will have 20 hotels in all of Birmingham’s major landmarks, making it more accessible and affordable for Britons to visit the city.”
