Swiss has opened two new lounges for its First Class and Miles&More Senator passengers at Geneva airport.
The news follows the opening last year of a new business class lounge also in Geneva, while all three facilities can also be used by Lufthansa and fellow Star Alliance members.
”It”s not just in the air that we face a daily fight with our competitors,” said Swiss CEO Christoph Franz, adding: ”The battle for customers begins on the ground.”
Swiss is also to open three new lounges at Zurich airport to meet growing demand, particularly from business travellers.
Zurich First Class customers will be able to use an enlarged check-in area, while a new Swiss ticket office will open in December.
The Geneva lounges feature more than ten tonnes of limestone from the Jura mountains used in the wall construction.
