Swiss” rejuvenation continues apace with the news that the carrier is to launch a new service from Manchester to Geneva.
The weekly Sunday flight will start on 16 December, using an Avro RJ100 departing North West England at 09:40 and arriving into the Swiss destination at 11:50.
Business travellers can take advantage of a two-class service on the route, with the new business lounge also open in Geneva.
The service is the first from Manchester since the addition of Basel in January this year, with the airline noting that flights to the latter destination will increase to six weekly rotations.
Swiss now offers 30 daily flights from the UK and Ireland to Basel, Geneva and Zurich. The carrier recently announced plans to introduce a first class cabin on all its inter-continental flights, as it progressively replaces its Airbus A330-200 aircraft with -300 variants.
