Skybreak Independent Airport Representation has created procedures to help airlines, tour operators and travellers when delays occur at airports.
”Today”s passengers expect a full contingency plan for any delays whether they are travelling with a national airline, destination specialist, mainstream tour operator or seat only operator,” said Skybreak general manager, Lecia Taylor
”Our hospitality for delay programme is a demonstration of our philosophy of providing the highest possible standard of care for delayed passengers.”
The aim is to provide facilities at airports and also in the surrounding community to ease the inconvenience of delayed flights.
Skybreak have set up contacts in the area so clients can benefit from the added value options provided at up to a 50% cheaper rate.
Spending delay time at the seaside is one of the creative solutions by Skybreak, which has set up coaches to take passengers to the coast when delays occur.
Other elements on offer to passengers are food and drink vouchers and taking children to local theme parks.
”Thanks to the European legislation during the past decade we have seen the delay experience change drastically,” said Taylor.
”There are now strict regulations regarding how to treat delayed passengers. Charter passengers are no longer treated differently to those travelling on scheduled airlines.”
