Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) and All Nippon Airways (ANA) have signed an agreement to codeshare on flights to Japan.
From May 23, SAS will place its SK code on ANA’s domestic flights from Tokyo Narita to Sapporo, Osaka and Fukuoka.
Meanwhile, ANA will add its NH code on SAS’ daily flights between Tokyo and Copenhagen.
At a later stage, ANA will also add its NH code on a number of SAS’ other routes: London to Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm; Frankfurt to Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm; and from Munich to Copenhagen and Oslo.
Rickard Gustafson, SAS’ CEO, said: “It is almost to the day 60 years since we established the first route between Scandinavia and Tokyo.
“Tokyo is now one of our most popular long-haul destinations, and this agreement with ANA signifies the importance of Japan in the SAS network.”
