Scandinavian airline SAS has agreed two codeshare deals this week, partnering with Garuda Indonesia and Aerolíneas Argentinas.
The agreement with Garuda Indonesia will allow SAS passengers to fly to Jakarta and Bali from the airline’s key Nordic gateways via “convenient” connections in Amsterdam or Tokyo Haneda, on one ticket.
Codeshare flights are available to book from 9 June for travel starting 15 June. Flights to Bangkok will also be added to the agreement in the upcoming winter season.
As part of the agreement, loyalty point accrual and redemption will be reciprocal to both airlines.
Meanwhile, a new deal with Aerolíneas Argentinas will see the Argentinian carrier place its AR code on SAS‑operated flights connecting Madrid and Rome to Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo. SAS will also place its SK code on Aerolíneas Argentinas’ transatlantic services between Buenos Aires, Madrid and Rome.
The agreement among SkyTeam members will enable passengers to travel using a single ticket, with checked baggage transferred to the final destination – a change the carriers said will “significantly improve the travel experience”.
Under the arrangement, eligible customers of both airlines will have access to SkyPriority services, while shared loyalty benefits – including earning and redeeming points across each carrier's respective programme – will also be offered.
The codeshare agreement is expected to come into effect in the third quarter of 2026, pending regulatory approval.
