Ryanair has announced five new routes from Brussels Charleroi to Bergerac, Limoges, Perpignan, Porto and Zaragoza.
”Our five routes at Brussels Charleroi are great news for Belgian business and consumers who will enjoy even more of Europe”s guaranteed lowest fares next year,” said Ryanair CEO Michael O”Leary.
”We are delighted that Brussels South Charleroi Airport continues to grow and welcome the opening of their new terminal which will enable the development of even more low-fare routes for passengers.”
The carrier said a fifth Boeing 737-800 will be based in the Belgian capital from 5 March 2008 - and that it is dropping its Brussels-Stansted route from that date.
”Porto and Limoges are particularly strong business links,” said a Ryanair spokeswoman, who explained that the Stansted-Brussels rotation was dropped following a regular route revue because it ”was not performing particularly well”.
Ryanair will operate 26 services from Brussels from summer 2008.
