HRG promotes Bernatzik
The Hogg Robinson Group (HRG) has expanded the role of Peter Bernatzik, its managing director in Austria, to include responsibility for Hungary.
The move is part of HRG's continuing re-structuring of its management in Europe.
Mr Bernatzik, 39, has been managing director for HRG in Austria sine 2005. He previously held a similar role from 2003-5 with BTI Kuoni Liechtenstein and has also worked for Rheintalflug, Lauda Air and Austrian Airlines.
Parkes joins Etihad
Adrian Parkes has joined Etihad Airways as its new vp for sales.
Mr Parkes joins from UK carrier bmi where he worked for 11 years, in roles which included commercial director, sales director and general sales manager.
In his new post, he will be based at the airline's head office at Abu Dhabi and report to Geert Boven, the executive vp for sales and services.
Radius signs up two executives
Global travel network Radius Travel has recruited two new executives to its team Chris Weedon and Vy Vuong.
Mr Weedon, who joins from UK company Harp wallen Executive Recruitment, takes up the newly created role of multi-national bid manager and will work in London with Radius' corporate sales team.
Vy Vuong becomes Radius' vp Asia Pacific and will also work in the corporate sales management based in Singapore.
Mr Vuong, an Australian, has worked in the travel industry for 16 years, most recently as a strategic sales manager for American Express.
He has also worked as a pilot for Qantas.
Amex appoints new head in India
American Express has appointed Manoj Chacko as its new head and vp of business travel for India and the sub-continent.
In his new role Mr Chacko will be in charge of all operations in the region including acquisitions, account development and finance.
He joins from Kingfisher Airlines where he was involved in the carrier's start up and most recently held the post of head of global sales, distribution and network planning.
