Norwegian’s Argentine subsidiary will begin offering domestic flights this month, with six routes set to go into operation by the end of the year.
Operating from its base in Buenos Aires, Norwegian will launch flights to Cordoba and Mendoza on 16 October, as well as services to Iguazu and Neuquen on 19 November, and Bariloche and Salta on 3 December.
Norwegian says the domestic routes will allow UK passengers to connect to other Argentine destinations when flying to Buenos Aires Ezeiza International from Gatwick, with the domestic hub reachable via taxi or bus transfer.
All flights will be operated by a B737-800 with a similar service to that found on the low-cost carrier’s European short-haul network.
Norwegian was granted an Air Services Operator Certificate in Argentina in January after establishing a subsidiary in 2017 and receiving permission to operate 153 routes from the country.
