Low-fare airline Air Southwest, has announced a major expansion from Newquay Cornwall airport.
Flights to Newcastle and Glasgow, a daily service to Cork and winter flights to Chambery, [gateway to the French alps] are the new routes that Air Southwest is introducing by April next year (08).
”This is fantastic news for Cornwall and opens up huge opportunities for business and leisure travel by increasing our connectivity.” said Cornwall Business Partnership chairman, Thelma Sorensen.
”It means Air Southwest will serve nine destinations from Newquay and will help build Newquay”s reputation as one of the UK”s fastest growing regional airports.”
Air Southwest flies four times a day, seven days a week from Newquay to London Gatwick and has regular flights to Manchester, Leeds Bradford, Bristol and Dublin.
”This is a major expansion of Air Southwest”s services from Newquay and cements our position as Cornwall”s own airline, offering year-round services to popular destinations.” said Air Southwest CEO, Jim Cameron.
”We continually evaluate new route opportunities and are confident that our new routes and additional flights will be popular with business and leisure passengers.”
