Bmi has appointed a new head of sales in a move which has seen it split its sales and marketing functions.
David Rousham joins the airline from British Airways. Bmi is also poised to appoint a head of marketing after deciding to split the key functions following the departure of sales and marketing director Katherine Gershon in September. Gershon has moved to a position outside the aviation industry.
A Bmi spokeswoman said a marketing chief would be appointed “imminently”.
Rousham held similar sales and marketing roles at BA over the last 20 years. He will report to chief commercial officer Joerg Hennemann.
