From September 1 passengers will be able to fly from Leeds Bradford and East Midlands airports to Oslo, Stockholm and Copenhagen in the same day with bmi regional and Scandinavia Airlines (SAS).
The new routes will depart from the two regional airports up to three times a day, and passengers will fly via Brussels to Scandinavia.
Peter Kenworthy, the commercial director of bmi regional, said: ”We”re not actually adding any new flights, but we”re introducing far more choice now. The major feature of the new schedule for business travellers is they can fly day return.”
The routes are a result of a codeshare agreement between bmi regional and SAS, both of which are members of Star Alliance. This means passengers will fly from Leeds Bradford or East Midlands to Brussels with bmi regional, and from Brussels to their final destination with SAS.
The flights are available from ”185 return including taxes, fees and charges and can be bought online from flybmi.com.
Currently bmi regional flies direct from Leeds Bradford to Copenhagen once a day.
