Etihad plans to double the number of flights between its Abu Dhabi hub and Manchester.
The middle eastern airline will start flying twice a day on the route from August 1.
Etihad had already announced plans to expand from seven to 10 flights per week this summer, but now plans to boost capacity with an extra three weekly visits.
James Hogan, Etihad Airways’ CEO, said: “Etihad’s Manchester service has been a key part of our network for five years.
“The frequency increase illustrates how Etihad has firmly established itself in the North West of England.”
Last November the airline opened a new lounge for first and business class passengers travelling from Manchester.
