The number of passengers travelling through London Luton airport grew by more than 50,000 in January, compared to the same month in 2010.
The figure represents year-on-year growth of 9.4%.
Glyn Jones, London Luton airport’s managing director, said the growth had been driven primarily by extra capacity on its 95 existing routes.
“The hard work and planning of the London Luton Airport operational teams to keep the Airport open during the recent freezing weather also helped minimise any disruption” he added.
