Airbus will hand over Korean Air’s first A380 superjumbo today (May 23).
The event will be marked with a grand unveiling ceremony held at the Airbus factory in Toulouse, which ABTN is attending.
While full details of the new plane are yet to be revealed, passengers can expect to see an onboard duty-free showcase store, and the upper deck devoted entirely to business class passengers.
Korean Air plans to use its first A380 on flights between Seoul, Tokyo and Hong Kong from June onwards.
The airline has ordered 10 of the aircraft in total, with five due to be delivered by the end of 2011. It will be the sixth carrier to operate the A380.
