KLM will introduce a revamped short-haul business class with the start of the summer season next month.
From March 27, the airline will block off the centre seat in each row of three in the front cabin, aligning its product with rivals including British Airways. The airline’s Boeing 737 fleet will also be progressively fitted with sockets to charge electrical appliances in the business cabin.
Those travelling in KLM and KLM Cityhopper’s new European Business Class will also see upgraded catering, with menus changed weekly. Meals will now be served on china similar to that used on KLM’s long-haul flights.
At the airport, business passengers will benefit from premium check-in facilities, extra baggage allowance, lounge access and priority boarding and baggage delivery.
