Indian carrier Jet Airways has increased the frequency on its new route between Manchester and Mumbai ahead of the launch of the flights.
The airline announced the service in May, originally planning to operate it four times per week. Today, Jet Airways says it will offer five flights per week with the addition of a Friday option.
Flights will now operate on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 5 November on board an A330-200, which offers both Premiere (business) class seats and an economy cabin.
Flights depart Manchester’s Terminal 2 at 0935 and land at Mumbai Terminal 2 at 0040 local time. Return flights leave Mumbai at 0230 and arrive in Manchester at 0755 local time.
Lydia Nazareth, general manager for the UK and Ireland at Jet Airways, commented: “We are pleased to increase the frequency on flights between Manchester and Mumbai ahead of our launch in November. Jet Airways is committed to deepening both commerce and tourism ties between the two countries. Expanding our flight frequency allows us to give further choice to business and leisure travellers heading to Mumbai from the North of England. Not only are we giving customers more choice when travelling to India, but our network of flights across India also connects Mumbai to multiple different destinations across the country.”
