Manx2.com starts daily weekday services from Nottingham East Midlands Airport (EMA) to the Isle of Man from 3 March.
Flights will depart the island at 10:30 and return from EMA at 12:00, taking a little under an hour each way. There will also be a Sunday evening flight, and fares start at ”39 ($80) one-way including taxes.
”The route will be extremely popular with the region”s business travellers due to its frequency,” said general aviation manager at EMA Stephen Turner.
A new VIP lounge - Rendezvous Executive - opened at Isle of Man”s Ronaldsway Airport in October, with a serving area where members and guests can help themselves to various snacks, teas, coffees, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages.
Passengers eligible to use the new lounge include holders of EuroManx Gold, Flybe Economy Plus and Manx2 Gold cards, together with all Priority Pass holders.
A spokesman for Manx2.com said: ”EMA will be our sixth new destination from the Isle of Man in a little more than eighteen months. It is so convenient for the nearby cities of Leicester and Derby as well as Nottingham itself, and will open up large areas of the eastern UK for travellers.”
Manx2.com uses 19-seat Metroliner aircraft on routes between the Isle of Man, Leeds Bradford, Belfast, Gloucester, Nottingham, Jersey and Blackpool.
