Vietnamese airline Bamboo Airways will commence a new weekly service from London Gatwick to Hanoi on 30 October, with tickets now on sale.
The non-stop flight will be serviced by a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, which includes premium economy and business class.
Gatwick Airport chief commercial officer, Jonathan Pollard, said: “In the past 10 months, we have been able to significantly grow our connections across North America, so to also be able to continue to expand our routes across Asia is fantastic news for both leisure travellers and business passengers throughout London and the South East."
The Hanoi service marks the seventh Asia destination linked to Gatwick Airport, which also connects to Dubai (Emirates), Bangkok and Singapore (Scoot), Doha (Qatar Airways and British Airways) and Islamabad (British Airways).
Bamboo Airways is one of several new airlines to commence long-haul operations at Gatwick in recent months, including Scoot, JetBlue and Norse Atlantic.
