Finnair will expand its interline agreement with Australia’s Jetstar later this year, providing more connection opportunities in the Asia-Pacific region.
From May, Finnair’s new daily Helsinki-Singapore flight will be brought under the agreement, added to existing connection possibilities using Finnair services to Tokyo, Osaka, Bangkok and Hong Kong.
The agreement between the two airlines allows passengers to buy a Jetstar, Jetstar Asia, Valuair or Jetstar Pacific flight as part of a single transaction on Finnair’s e-ticket distribution network.
Jetstar is owned by Finnair’s Oneworld alliance partner Qantas. It is a budget carrier, but it does have a StarClass cabin, roughly equivalent to a normal premium economy product.
