A new poll shows there are significant differences between European countries on attitudes to so-called ‘vaccine passports’ - digital apps or certificates that hold proof of testing and/or vaccination and which could help open up international travel.
The poll of 6,000 people by Euronews found that 69 per cent of those surveyed in Great Britain support or strongly support the introduction of vaccine passports, compared with 65 per cent in Italy, 53 per cent in Germany and just 39 per cent in France.
Almost a third (32 per cent) of those asked in France oppose or strongly oppose the measure, compared with 12 per cent in Britain.
The survey of 6,000 people, carried out in February and March, found that 69 per cent of Britons supported the idea of restricting travel abroad only to those who have been vaccinated against the virus, against 35 per cent in Germany.
