Emirates has announced plans to launch flights from Dubai to Shenzhen in southeast China, which will become the carrier’s fourth Chinese destinations when the route launches on 1 July.
The airline will operate a daily service on the Dubai-Shenzhen route using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, which are fitted with four cabins including eight first-class suites, 40 lie-flat seats in business class, premium economy (24 seats) and economy (260 seats).
Emirates already flies from Dubai to Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. It said it would be the first Middle Eastern carrier to operate a daily flight to Shenzhen, which is a major technology and innovation hub in China.
The carrier also announced a new service to Da Nang in Vietnam that will operate four times per week from 2 June, as well as introducing flights to Siem Reap in Cambodia operating three times per week from 3 June – both of these routes from Dubai will be served via Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi International Airport.
Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ deputy president and chief commercial officer, said: "We remain committed to offering business and leisure travellers unparalleled access to Southeast Asia and the broader East Asia region by delivering an extensive flight schedule.
“Our expansion into Shenzhen opens new doors for business and economic exchange between this technological powerhouse and global markets.”
