Agency also launches new tools
Egencia, the Expedia-owned online travel management company, has opened new offices in India and Switzerland.
The expansion follows Egencia's recent launches in Austria, the Netherlands and Ireland.
The agency said the two new operations would provide local account management and customer service teams for clients.
Egencia said it was also launching new tools to "meet the increasingly globalised technology and cost management needs of today's companies."
These included Egencia's On the Go and an integration of its Expense and Travel management tools.
The first is a mobile flight information platform for travellers, bookers and travel managers.
A recent Egencia survey found that 44% of travellers access flight information from their mobiles.
The new tool will enable them to access itineraries, flight schedules and local weather forecasts and allow travel managers to approve trips via mobiles.
The integration of its Expense and Travel management tools will help business travellers manage their expenses from the point of booking.
Jean-Pierre Remy, president of Egencia, said that corporate travel was a vital part of business regardless of economic conditions.
He added: "In this turbulent climate, we realize that it's important to have a travel partner that help drive results whilst offering proactive solutions and recommendations to our global customers.
"Our expansion into India and other European points of sale along with an investment in our technology offering are part of our commitment to meeting the needs of our clients during this critical time."
