Budget carrier Easyjet may be planning to launch a class action lawsuit in a bid to win compensation after flight cancellations caused by the volcanic ash, reports say.
Andrew Harrison told German magazine Wirstschaftswoche: "We are already working on it with a group of other companies, including those outside the low-cost sector.... It will be a suit from all airlines."
But the airline would not provide any details, ahead of a press conference on Friday.
The closure of European airspace after the eruption of a volcano in Iceland cost Easyjet between €50 million and €75 million.
Other British airlines may also be involved in the legal action, while in Germany Lufthansa has already demanded compensation for the flight ban.
According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA) the ash crisis cost the airline industry more than $1.7 billion.
