Expense management "on the go"
Corporate travellers can from today (March 24) log their expenses where ever they are in the world using Concur Mobile.
Concur has extended its travel and expense (T&E) management system initially to Blackberrys and smartphones running Windows Mobile.
The new service, free to Concur Travel & Expense customers, enables travellers to manage their itineraries, add or delete hotel rooms, rental cars, dining reservations and taxis.
Receipts for out-of-pocket expenses, such as tips, food and drinks, can also be sent in with a mobile expense report, using the phone's own camera.
Managers may also approve or reject expense reports. Concur said its new service will help employees "comply with corporate policies and be more efficient and productive."
Rajeev Singh, Concur's president and coo, said mobile expense management would help "drive down" T&E costs while "making life easier for the mobile workforce."
The service is not currently available on Apple's popular iPhone. A spokesman for Concur said it would look to "broaden its set of services further down the road."
