Hong Kong-based Cathay Pacific Airways today (15 January) announced it will enhance its schedule to Delhi and Mumbai beginning 29 February, and launch a new service to Chennai, India”s fourth-largest metropolitan city.
The airline will add a further three flights a week to Mumbai from the beginning of the summer, taking the total to ten a week to the city.
Another flight will be added to Delhi, making a total of 14 flights a week, and from the 1 June the carrier will fly four times a week to Chennai.
With a total of 20 new flights a week by early June, Cathay Pacific believes this will help boost Hong Kong”s position as a leading international aviation hub.

Cathay Pacific has said details of flight numbers and schedules for the services are still being finalised and will be published in due course.
The carrier”s sister airline Dragonair (which it bought in 2006) is launching a daily flight to Bangalore ” India”s information technology hub ” on 1 May using an A330-300 aircraft.
