CFO to join transport company
Jeff Carr has resigned as the chief financial officer for easyJet.
He is to join FirstGroup, a listed transport company is a similar role.
Mr Carr was a member of the easyJet board.
His departure comes less than a months after board chairman Sir Colin Chandler announced he was leaving the low cost airline earlier than expected.
Sir Colin who has been chairman since 2002, said last month that he planned to leave on July 1.
Sir David Michels, a senior board member and former ceo of Hilton International, will take over as interim chairman until a successor is found.
The two departures come after months of unrest in the company about the direction the airline was taken with the founder and major shareholder Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannu expressing concern.
Andy Harrison, easyJet's ceo, said of Mr Carr's departure: "Jeff has made an invaluable contribution to easyJet's success over the last four years.
"His energy and commitment will be missed by his colleagues and we wish him every success in the future."
easyJet said that Warwick Brady will be joining the company as procurement director from tomorrow (May 6).
Mr Brady has international experience of low-cost airlines including roles at Ryanair, Air Deccan of India and Mandala of Indonesia.
