Wales’ main airport has launched a new website, offering a customisable section for frequent users.
The bilingual website, in English and Welsh, has been designed to help visitors find the information they need quicker.
It has four areas devoted to the different needs of visitors: meeting and greeting, planning a trip, travelling soon and general information about the airport.
Regular users of the site can select the sections they require most often via a “customise content” tab, which allows preferences to be stored for when they next visit the website.
Cardiff airport has also improved its booking tools, which now include car parking, flights, holidays, accommodation, car hire and executive lounge access.
Cassie Houghton, marketing and PR manager at Cardiff Airport, said: “During the research and development of the website we focused on the needs of website users and have designed the new site with these needs in mind.
The airport hopes to use the site to grow its social media links as well, said Houghton: “We also wanted to develop a more modern website which embraces social media channels and can be used as a platform to further develop our social media communications and mobile applications during 2011.”
Users can link to social media channels through the share icon and choose to follow the official Cardiff Airport Twitter feed.
