British Airways has announced plans to increase its services from London to Rio de Janeiro.
The British flag carrier will up the number of flights to the third largest city of Brazil from three times weekly to six times.
The airline currently flies on Monday, Thursday and Saturday, but from the end of October will fly every day of the week except Monday.
Neil Cottrell, BA’s head of network planning, said the airline is experiencing "a real increase in demand" for Rio.
“By doubling the number of frequencies, we are able to offer our customers more choice and greater availability,” he said.
“Brazil is also experiencing strong economic growth and this capacity increase is a great opportunity for British Airways to be part of that growth.”
The departure time from London Heathrow will be 12.15pm, arriving into the Brazilian city at 9.55pm.
