All traffic down by 8.3%
BA reported a 20.2% drop in its premium traffic for February.
In figures released today (March 5), the UK airline said economy traffic fell by 5.5% while there was a drop of 8.3% in all traffic.
The carrier said that its capacity for the month was 9% lower than for February in 2008.
Its load factor fell by 0.5% during the month to 72%
BA said the results had been impacted by February having one fewer trading day, worth about 3.5% and a "significant number" of cancellations in the first week of the month due to the heavy snow in south east England.
This caused the carrier's programmes to be restricted.
