Following S7’s entry into the Oneworld alliance, British Airways (BA) and S7 Airlines will start codesharing on flights between London and Russia.
From February 8, the Russian airline will place its two-letter flight code (S7) on BA-operated flights between London Heathrow and Moscow.
In turn, BA will place its code on flights operated by S7, or its subsidiary Globus, from Moscow to Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, Ekaterinburg, Kazan, Chelyabinsk, Kaliningrad, Krasnoyarsk and Ufa.
Gavin Halliday, BA’s general manager Europe and Africa, said Russia is an “important market” for the airline.
“We are pleased that our relationship with S7 is developing well,” he said.
“The codeshare with S7 will give our customers much better access to many more cities across Russia and help S7 customers take advantage of better links to Heathrow Terminal 5.”
