Austria’s flag carrier will return to the capital of Iraq this summer, after a 21-year break.
Austrian Airlines will operate the route three times a week – Wednesday, Friday and Sunday – from June 8.
Baghdad will be the Lufthansa-owned airline’s second destination in Iraq – the carrier has been flying to Erbil since 2006.
Operated using an A320 aircraft, flight OS 827 will leave Vienna at 10am, arriving into Baghdad at 3pm.
From Baghdad, flight OS 828 will leave at 4pm, arriving into Vienna at 7.30pm.
Austrian Airlines originally operated flights between its Vienna base and Baghdad between 1982 and 1990.
