Austrian Airlines is to introduce four weekly flights from Vienna to Jeddah on 18 August and three weekly services to Riyadh - the Saudi capital - from 19 August.
The routes will be the first to offer travellers the new Premium Service product in Business Class - Business Sleeper Seats will provide 116cm (46inches) of legroom, optimum seat incline, electronically adjustable back and foot rest and an integrated massage function. Other features include an integrated PC power point and personal privacy screen.
”In the capital Riyadh and the major port city Jeddah, we are integrating two hugely important cities in Saudi Arabia into our route network,” said Austrian Airlines chief executive officer, Alfred Otsch.
Flights for Riyadh will depart Vienna on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 14:00 and arrive at 20:15. Returns depart on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 01:20, arriving in Austria at 06:00.
All flights from Vienna to Jeddah leave on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 14:00, arriving at 20:10 and on the return depart on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 01:30 and arrive at 06:00.
Otsch added, ”We are increasing the volume of transfer traffic that will pass through our Vienna hub, and offer the best possible connections to Central and Eastern Europe ” a region becoming increasingly important for investments from the Middle East.
