Global travel IT company Amadeus is launching new software to help UK agents change air tickets for business travellers.
The company said its Amadeus ticket Changer could save agents up to 80% of the time they currently spent changing tickets manually.
It said the software gave travel management companies a fully automated way to change and re-issue tickets.
The ticket changer will also reduce the "occurrence and costs associated with Agency Debit Memos due to incorrect manual fare calculations."
Amadeus said 39 airlines had so far signed up to the new facility.
The ticket changer can be used for any ticket and will calculate the price difference between old and new tickets.
Una Bennett, Amadeus UK's director of marketing, said the ticket changer would "streamline" processes.
The ticket changer will be rolled out in the UK in January 2009.
