The French national carrier has upgraded its mobile flight information service to offer real time access to flight details, as well as booking capabilities.
Air France Connect will inform customers from 14 days before departure of any cancellation or delays to their flight.
Available for Air France and KLM passengers in eight languages, it will also tell passengers of any gate changes at the airport, and of any delays to their baggage.
Air France aims to become the established leader in mobile customer services, according to Henri Hourcade, the airline’s general manager for the UK.
The French carrier claims its new mobile offering is “the most extensive in the world”.
“Air France Connect along with the mobile website and applications will ensure that all our customers in the UK and around the world enjoy a unique level of customer service delivered proactively in real time,” said Hourcade.
“These mobile services give customers valid information on the go, enabling them to adapt their plans if necessary and I have no doubt they will be well received by our passengers’
Members of Air France’s frequent flyer programme Fly Blue can also use the mobile service to manage their account.
